One of Australia's biggest racing weekends is here with the running of the Cox Plate at Moonee Valley and the Spring Champion Stakes at Randwick.
Last week it was Luke who stole the show, landing King Of The Castle at $10.
Secure the hot mail from Mick Gannon and Luke Hovhanesian now.
This is your complete form guide for the features.
Randwick Race 7 - Spring Champion Stakes (2000m)
Mick Gannon Tip
Keen on the chances of Medatsu ($51) here.
He produced a career peak at his first go over 2000m last start and is sure to take improvement off that.
He's lightly raced, has a stack of upside and can be right in the finish at a big price.
Luke Hovhanesian Tip
As mentioned in my Randwick Roughies and Longshots article, Long Genes ($101) represents massive value at the quote.
He has been solid in a tough campaign, is rock hard fit and has the breeding pedigree to suggest the further the better.
Just needs to find a spot in running from the tricky barrier.
Randwick Race 8 - The Invitation (1400m)
Mick Gannon Tip
Espiona ($3.30) brings the strongest form lines and will relish the 1400m.
She only needs luck in the run to prove too good for her rivals.
Luke Hovhanesian Tip
Olentia ($31) appears the value play in this field off a luckless campaign.
Three back in the Tramway she was caught three deep the trip from barrier 8 and stuck on well for 5th.
At her next start in the Bill Ritchie, connections decided they didn't want a repeat situation, and dragged her back to last.
She charged late but the margin was too big to bridge.
At her last start in the Alan Brown, it was more of the same. From barrier 13 she was caught deep once again, working overtime.
For this assignment, she finally draws a barrier that will let her land midfield with cover.
Kathy O'Hara has been in great form and takes the reigns.
Looks like a big price and granted this campaign hasn't cooked her, she can be in the finish.
Caulfield Race 8 - Manikato Stakes (1200m)
Mick Gannon Tip
Impertrez ($1.50) is probably the best sprinter in the world.
Only bad luck beats her.
Luke Hovhanesian Tip
I am interested in watching The Inferno ($27) second up.
His run was really solid in the Moir over an unsuited 1000m distance.
The rise to 1200m and stripping fitter is set to suit, while Jake Noonan retains the ride.
There is plenty of speed in this event and if he hunts inside runs he could be thereabouts at a huge quote.
Caulfield Race 9 - Cox Plate (2040m)
Mick Gannon Tip
Banking on the untapped staying ability of Militarize ($9).
He looks like he'll relish the 2040m and even further, has a tactical sprint and should get a nice run in transit from barrier 3.
Is he classy enough to win as a 3YO?
I think he is.
Luke Hovhanesian Tip
Full steam ahead for Alligator Blood ($6).
He is in blistering form and looks set to get a peach of a ride from barrier 5.
He will burn his rivals off and run them into the ground.
No one rates them better in front than Tim Clark and he can pinch this.
