A strong field of 11 line up for the Group 1 Canterbury Stakes on Saturday, with Kiwi Imperatriz the short priced favourite.
The 2023 edition looks a little light on this year, with the absence of Zaaki leaving a big gap between the favourite and her rivals.
Past winners of this race include Happy Clapper (2018), Pierro (2013) and More Joyus (2012,2011).
6 of the 11 runners in this year's edition are Group 1 Winners, with 11 G1 wins combined.

Race 7 - Canterbury Stakes (1300m)(WFA)
The Map
Electric Girl (1) can lead from the inside draw, with Lombardo (3) likely to sit outside leader.
Nash will be looking to make use of the good gate with Golden Mile (2) and should sit leaders back.
The one-one is up for grabs with either Old Flame (6) or Imperatriz (7) likely to land in the running line.
Of the other runners, Artorius (8) will settle beyond midfield.
The Favourite
Imperatriz a 4-time Group 1 winner is coming off a career peak 107.5 rating last start, where she blew away a field of 12 by 4.5L at Te Rapa.
On last start ratings she's 3-4L in front of her nearest rivals and put simply, if she brings her A game she wins.
History/Key Form-lines
- 6 of these runners arrive here first up while the remainder of the field come from different races
- Holler (2016) was the last 3YO to win the race
Best Racing Tips
1st Imperatriz brings the highest last-start rating of 107.5, gains the services of James McDonald and maps for a great run.
There is a chance she makes further improvement under the champion hoop and if she does, watch out.
I have her marked $1.80 and anything better than that is a bet.
2nd Golden Mile had excuses last start and can bounce back to form.
He's drawn an absolute treat and with only 56kg and Nash on, he'll be ridden positively and will be right in the race.
His career-best rating of 100.8 is nowhere near the best of the Imperatriz, but he can be the best of the Aussies.
3rd Cascadian will be doing his best work late. He is a two-time Group 1 winner who produced some of his career-best figures last prep.
4th Lombardo tasted Group 1 success last preparation and is in for a big Autumn. This may come too soon for her but she's sure to improve second-up.
