Best Bet – Race 9 #8 Changing Colours

Changing Colours looks ready to take her racing to another level after an outstanding performance at Flemington last start.

The lightly raced six-year-old exploded home to win her Benchmark 78 by two lengths and was easing down through the line.

Importantly, she recorded the fastest closing sectionals of the entire meeting, underlining just how dominant the performance was.

That was only her second start for Lucy Yeomans and she should still have further improvement to come.

Blake Shinn takes the ride, while her only previous appearance at Caulfield Heath resulted in a victory.

She looks ready to win again.

Next Best – Race 8 #8 First Chorus

First Chorus is chasing three straight victories after back-to-back wins at Caulfield and the rise to 1800 metres looks another positive.

There should be genuine speed in the race, allowing Luke Cartwright to settle her into a stalking position similar to the one she enjoyed last start.

She's rock-hard fit, handles wet conditions and continues to race in terrific form. The additional two kilograms shouldn't be enough to stop her completing the hat-trick.
