There is nothing better than a Group 1 race day at Flemington and punters are in for a treat this Saturday.
The Australian Guineas will be run over the 1600m in race 8 on the program and currently sees a dominant favourite in VRC Derby winner ‘Riff Rocket’ at $2.80.
You can grab Cody Lane's full preview for the Guineas right here.
While the $1 million feature race rightly attracts a lot of the attention on this card, there are some very good betting prospects scattered throughout the 10-race meeting.
TheGreatTipOff.com is home to the countries leading Flemington tipsters and we have compiled three of the best to steer punters into plenty of winners.
Cody kicks us off with two top plays, while Jack Dickens & Michael Manley clash in the Group 2 Blamey Stakes.

Cody Lane is a life time profit maker at Flemington
Race 1 #1 Cinderella Days $2.80
Bit of a shame that the original favourite ‘Tintookie’ was scratched from this event because now the price for this 4yo Astern mare has shortened quote significantly.
Regardless, she still remains clearly the one to beat in the opening race of the program and can kick off her career with her new trainer (Grahame Begg) on a winning note.
She performs her best when fresh (4:2-0-1) and this is the easiest race she has been in since her first racing preparation.
After a quiet jump out at Cranbourne on the 22nd January, she produced a sensational trial win at the same track on the 5th February.
That trial victory saw her beat home superstars ‘Imperatriz’, ‘Bella Nipotina’ and ‘Passive Aggressive’ to name a few.
Draws well and gets top senior jockey Blake Shinn on for the ride here.
Looks an absolute lock and should get the day off to a winning start.
Race 10 #11 Frigid $6.00
This lightly-raced 5yo mare makes her return from the John Leek Jnr stable and looks well placed to be a first-up winner here.
Has had 3 jump outs at her home track of Pakenham leading in and won the most recent two of them in fine style.
She draws very well here in barrier 3 and gets top senior jockey Damian Lane on for the steer.
Her form from last preparation was quite solid and she still has a lot of upside.
While she will get better over further, she has the class to be going very close here first-up over the 1400m.
Jack Dickens Tips and Best Bets
Jack Dickens was in the #10 tipsters in Australia in 2023.
Race 9 #10 Verdad $21.00
The Guineas looks a tough race, but I’m willing to back Verdad here at odds.
I am hoping that Jye McNeil from the inside draw is able to be positive and kick up.
This should allow him to sit midfield like he did 2nd up last preparation at Moonee Valley, when settling 4th in a 10 horse field.
While I concede that this map is a bit more tricky than that mentioned assignment, if he pulls it off this runner is in with a cracking chance.
Last start against many of these opposition, Verdad started the same price as the winner, albeit being beaten 1.5L.
This is a good push for how the horse is going and we now we get the gift of taking above $20’s to win where you have to take Riff Rocket at approximately $2.5.
Throw in that he was held up around the 400m mark and still ran the 5th fastest last 400m and the 4th fastest last 200m whilst shifting out lanes.
If he got out sooner I think Verdad might have finished closer to the winner.
Best of luck if you join me punters.

Michael Manley Tips and Best Bets
Michael Manley continues to nail his best bets at a good clip.
Race 9 #5 Ayrton $4.80
This race looks ideal for this gelding.
He’s taking solid form into the Blamey Stakes after a last start fifth in the C.F. Orr Stakes behind Mr Brightside and Pride Of Jenni.
He’s drawn barrier one and Jamie Kah should get him to take up a spot on the speed in a race where the majority of the field settle back.
He's had one start over 1600 metres for a win early in his career in a Group 3 at Eagle Farm.
Throw in that Jamie Kah has ridden him nine times for five wins and two placings and he looks a great bet.
