It was aptly changed from the Sandown Classic to the Zipping Classic after the Gelding won in four consecutive years from 2007 to 2010.

We’re looking at potentially 4mm of rain both Friday and Saturday so look to how the track is playing.

With the rail out 5m we will see a track that races to those in the rear not suited.

However, with the rain around this could adjust on the day depending if the inside lanes get a fair bit of wear, so as always watch and adjust accordingly.

Onto the preview of the Kevin Heffernan Stakes.

We see a Godolphin Blue Jacket in Vilana dropping back from Group 1 class to contest this race.

Bringing these strong form-lines to this race and with a great starting price profile, he looks hard to beat.

He is set to get a great ride with Jamie Kah being able to slot in one pair behind the leaders and giving every possible chance of winning.

Anything above $2 looks like a great gamble for a horse of that quality from an astute camp.

 

Having a quick look at the Zipping Classic, this race sets up perfectly for Duke De Sessa.

We’ve got Mark Zahra taking the ride and he looks to land in a fantastic spot from the map.

If he can get 1/2 pairs back and with the predicted rain around, he is very well placed to put in a peak performance.
