The Caulfield Guineas launches the Caulfield Carnival on Saturday, with a jam-packed ten race card featuring three Group 1 events.

There is rain about in Melbourne on Thursday and little predicted for Friday and Saturday, so you can expect us to be racing on either a Soft 5 or Good 4 surface.

The rail is situated in the True position and it was out 6m here last meeting, on a day where it was better to be on-pace/ inside.

With rain about and the rail back in the True, expect them to edge off the inside later in the day but watch and monitor the early races.

She loves this track and distance with two starts for two wins.

In total, she has won three and finished second on one occasion from four starts at Caulfield.

It was only an amazing finishing burst from Imperatriz which deprived her of a Group 1 win last start.

In that clash, she finished in front of her main danger in this race, Uncommon James, and I expect her to  to do that agian here.
