Flemington plays host to a cracking day of racing this Saturday, with the Group 1 Makybe Diva Stakes the feature event of the afternoon.

There are plenty of great clashes for punters to bet into, including the Group 2 Let's Elope Stakes and the Bobbie Lewis Quality.

These races provide quality supporting acts to the main event, with high profile runners attempting to stake early claims for Spring features.

Track Conditions

The track is currently rated a Good 4, but if the Weather Bureau's prediction of 10mm to 20mm rain is accurate, we'll be racing on a wet track.

Flemington has great drainage as we know, but that’s a lot of predicted rainfall so punters should wait and see how the next 48 hours plays out.

The rail is in the true position, which should give all runners their chance.

Michael tipped his followers into 3 winners at Moonee Valley last Saturday!

Below is his analysis and tips for the Group 2 Let's Elope Stakes & Bobbie Lewis Quality.

Flemington Race 3 - Let's Elope Stakes 1000m (Group 2)

The Map Speed Map

There is a real query around the early speed here.

There's a chance that Lady Loft (7) will work across to push forward, whilst Street Icon (2) and Southbank (5) will also be up there.

Regardless of how the early exchanges play out, Savatiano (4) will be on-the-speed and can lead if required.

The Favourite Horse Racing

This race looks tailored made for Savatiano.

She’s fit and in-form, whilst being dynamic enough to take up a position on-the-speed.

She can handle some sting out of the track, with a proven record on Soft tracks (11:3-3-2).

However if the rain buckets down and we get into the Heavy range, tread with caution. The mare has had four starts on Heavy tracks and only managed one placing, however there were excuses on the other three occasions.

Analysis & Tips Horse Racing Tip

Savatiano $2.60

I can’t go past Savatiano here. She comes here well drawn and with fitness on her side following her victory in the P.B Lawrence Stakes at her last start.

She was a late scratching from the Memsie Stakes after slipping over in the walking area before the race, so she's nice and fresh.

Include Arcadia Queen in your exotics, who has been working well at Bendigo. Ex-Kiwi My Gold Bracelet loves the wet, while Sam Freedman suggests Southbank is back to her best form.

Flemington Race 4 - Bobbie Lewis Quality 1200m (Group 2)

The Map Speed Map

Expect good speed in this clash, with Hellova Street (4) setting the pace.

Dollar For Dollar (5) will also be up there alongside The Inevitable (1), who will take up a spot at the front.

The Favourite Horse Racing

Tofane is the class horse in this race.

She elevated herself to another level last campaign, which culminated in a victory in the Group 1 All-Aged Stakes.

The queries are her first-up record (3:0-1-0), and whether she will be able get to in the run from barrier 3.

Furthermore despite being proven on the Soft going (7:2-1-1), she's only had the one start on a Heavy deck for no result.

Analysis & Tips Horse Racing Tip

Zoutori $4.40

The Ellerton & Zahra gelding powered home to win this race first-up last year, recording 1.08.23 seconds for 1200 metres.

He loves the Flemington straight (7:2-0-3) and will be suited by the likely fast pace in this clash.

He's another one who doesn't have any Heavy form however, so be wary if the heavens open.
