It was an absolute fill-up for us last week, after we found 5 winners and 3 placings from our 8 early market mover selections.

The highlight came in the Highway at Randwick, after Birdonawinningpost bolted in paying $4.00 at the time of publication.

Loyal followers of this column finished the day up a very tidy 161% Profit on Turnover.

We look to continue the good form this week and have identified a key mover in the Blue Diamond Stakes market.

Safe Passage

Has been very dominant winning her past two starts, albeit in much weaker grade (Benchmark 64).

She does look a very exciting filly and the last start effort was full of merit, after she was caught wide without cover and still prevailed.

The stable have a huge opinion of her and would not be entering in Group 3 level without high confidence.

Rich Hips

Arrives first up which does suit (3:2-0-0) and has been readied with a strong trial hit-out which she won.

She rounded out last preparation with a good win in this grade at Flemington, after racing in a mid-field position before charging late.

Expect them to position closer to speed here in what appears to be only a moderately run race.

General Beau

Could not have done more in all the key lead up events, after winning both the Colts Prelude and Preview at his past two.

He races with a tough close to speed style, which is suited to the rough and tumble of a high-pressure Blue Diamond Stakes.

Expect them to sit just in behind a brutal tempo here, before darting through late to be in the finish.

Homesman

Can race on speed here, in a race where if they allow him to walk he will prove very difficult to run past.

He has a touch of class and must be working well at home to warrant this early betting move.

The first-up record is very strong (7:3-2-0) and he looks to be too sharp for most of these, who will be aimed at longer targets.

Equation

Is working through the grades nicely with two sound wins at his past two starts.

The new Neasham stable is up and firing with plenty of winners and the support of a number of key owners.

They will be out to repay the faith Aquis Farm have shown in them, and will be desperate for a Saturday metro win here.

Positive Peace

Chalked up a stakes grade victory last preparation with a win in the Group 3 The Nivison at Randwick.

She returns here after a 13 week break and trust the stable have her fully wound up for the first up effort at Group 2 level.

She loves to race close to speed and from gate 3 looks well suited on this occasion to control the race.

Prague

Was one of the better 2YO’s in his season and a return to that good form during the 3YO campaign would not shock.

He did enough (3 of 8) first up in the Eskimo Prince at Randwick, when he reeled off some impressive closing sectionals.

The speed looks genuine in this race and from gate 1, he can suck up in behind before presenting to collar them late.

Lackeen

Import who must be going well at trackwork if J Mac has secured the ride, given he usually takes his pick.

Rachel King did trial this runner, however they have instead opted for the leading rider on race-day which is a sign of intent.

Godolphin know the right horses to send out here from their European base, and he could be far to good for these first up. Yes.
