MARCH 2019 CP

3/4/19 Horse Racing Tipster of the Month

Best punters & Australian racing media experts revealed

Continuing on the trend for 2019, punters had the wood over the media experts in March.

That made it three months on-the-trot to start the year for the punters, however the media experts certainly narrowed the margin.

While the punters dominated the podiums for the highest cash profit and the best Profit on Turnover (POT), there was one tipster who flew the flag high for the media experts.

Read on to find out who was laughing all the way to the bank in March.

Highest Cash Profit

Yet again, it was Sporty who claimed the gold medal for the highest cash profit of the month.

That now makes it four consecutive months where this Gold Coast-based ex-jockey has claimed the top prize.

This kind of consistency is almost unheard of, with Sporty proving himself time and again that he's up there as one of the best professional punters in Australia.

During March, he added $8,533 to his rapidly growing total.

Sporty tipped a whopping 547 winners in all, in what was another standout month.

Coming in second for most cash profit was Taipan23, whose 4 winning tips at an average price of $24.40 generated $6,760.

Taipan23's strategy is the polar opposite of Sporty's.

While Sporty goes for plenty of winners at a shorter price, South Australian Taipan23 is all about the value.

And his incredible effort during March proves that no matter which strategy you follow, tipping winners is what matters at the end of the day.

Proving that she was the best media expert by a country mile in terms of cash profit, was none other than March's bronze medallist, Grace Ramage.

Who said horse racing is a bloke's game?

Ramage tipped 17 winners at an average price of $7.72, which resulted in a cash profit of $4,570 for those who followed her racing tips with $100 bets.

Considering she only placed 43 tips during March, Ramage also rounded out the month with a superb strike rate of 40%.

What an impressive all-round tipping display.

Highest POT

Horse Racing Tips

Going one better than his sliver medal for most cash profit, Taipan23 picked up March's main prize in the highest POT category.

With all the long shots he was backing, this astute punter ended the month with 225% POT.

Falling just short with 184% POT was another punter from theGreatTipOff.com.

Gifthorse calls the picturesque coastline of Merimbula home, where the sea air must be doing her good if her tips are anything to go by.

Like Taipan23, Gifthorse went for value, picking up 5 winners at an average price in excess of the $10 mark.

After finding this kind of value whilst placing just 19 tips, it's no surprise Gifthorse found her way onto the podium for the highest POT.

Picking up the final place on the podium was pro punter Nofeet, who recorded a 125% POT.

It was all about the strike rate for this pro.

Nofeet found 14 winning tips from just 30 selections, at a strike rate just shy of 50%.

Considering these winning tips were at an average price of $4.82, this was an incredible tipping performance.

Highest POT media tipsters

As punters have the luxury of being able to pick and choose what races they tip in, we thought it was only fair to highlight how the media experts fared against each other in the highest POT category.

Richard Bell from Sky Racing came up trumps in March, posting 10 winning tips which generated a juicy 109% POT. The renowned racecaller is better known for his harness racing knowledge, however last month he proved that he has a knack for backing winners in all horse racing codes.

He managed to edge out Winning Post's Grace Ramge who notched up 106 POT%, whilst Joel Marshall was on fire at the back end of the month and finished with 55% POT.
