Sandown Hillside Race 1 Tip #5 The Watchman $6.50

The son of More Than Ready impressed in a recent jump-out, where he closed off strongly over the 800m. 

He jumped straight into the black-book off that effort and was noted as a big market watch for his debut. 

The Greg Eurell stable are usually on the money when they back one, and this bloke has been well supported from $12 into $6.50. 

Whilst backing a first-starter might look like flirting with danger, the strong jump-out and flood of money suggest he's a good type and will be more than competitive on debut. 

The trainer/jockey combination of Greg Eurell and Damian Thornton adds further confidence, on the back of the impressive results they have delivered over the past 12-months.

Warwick Farm Race 9 Tip #9 Rover $6.50

This Fastnet Rock gelding couldn't have trialled any better before his debut, matching motors with a couple of good gallopers in Chat and Edison.

He then went to Rosehill and won his maiden in impressive fashion, after attacking the line.

The second placed horse (Tawaret) has subsequently won her maiden, whilst the sixth placed horse (Toomai) has notched up two wins since that run.  

Anthony Cummings didn't waste any time throwing him into the deep end, going from a maiden to a BM70 at Randwick where he impressed again.

Unfortunately he was caught in traffic up the straight in that run, but pinned his ears back once clear late and only found the talented Julian Rock too good on the day.

With a little freshen up and an in-form jockey onboard, I think he can stamp himself as a star of the future with a dominant win here.
