A high caliber group of our best 2yo fillies have assembled here for an intriguing contest.

The field comprises of a number of first starters with no public trials which adds spice. Some of these carry a big boom from the stable and track watchers.

I am with one that has had her first race start and oozed quality when running second.

A small move for Loving Gaby has been seen in early markets, firming from $6.00 to $5.50.

Race favourite Art Collection is on the drift from an opening quote of $3.90, now trading at $4.20.

Horse Racing Key Runners

#1 Bella Rossa $5

Won on debut when strong on the line at Flemington in the Group 3 Ottawa Stakes.

The Ciaron Maher stable are flying and they have again booked gun hoop Mark Zahra for this assignment, which is encouraging.

She will race close to speed from gate 8 and provided they find cover or sit outside the lead, will be in this for a long way. Yes.

#3 Lanigera $5

One of Godolphin's best 2yo's and they have plenty to choose from.

She was good in the rich Inglis race here at her only start when she finished 4 of 11 after leading.

The market loves her again in this, however the field does look stronger than what she faced last start.

With any pressure up front, she is likely to puncture inside the final 200m.

Well found at the current price ($5) and happy to bet around at that quote. No.

#5 Art Collection $3.90 > $4.20

Was ultra impressive running second down the straight at Flemington on debut, after storming late to just miss in the Group 3 Maribyrnong Plate.

She showed great willingness that day and appeared to possess plenty of talent.

Expect her to get the dream run just in behind the speed and to be very strong late. Must go on top.

#6 Done By Me $11

Adelaide visitor who looks outclassed here.

She was good winning at Sale when hard in betting markets, however this is a huge leap in grade and I doubt she can trouble the more fancied runners.

Unfortunately, it looks as though connections will be finding out that she's not a stakes grade filly. No.

#7 I Am $12

Trialed like a bomb at Pakenham and looks to have plenty of X factor as a first starter here.

The stable whispers are that she is very good and the sire, I Am Invincible, seems to be winning everything.

Plenty of ticks and the current price in betting ($12) appears value. Must include. Yes.

#8 Loving Gaby $6 > $5.50

Has been backed in early markets, which is always a good sign.

She won the I Am trial at Pakenham, however she looked to be taking it more seriously.

Still, the signs were there that she is smart enough and the stable can do no wrong.

If the second wave of money comes in betting on race day, bet accordingly. Must include in everything. Yes.

#9 Seatonic $9.50

Is a first starter coming in with no public trial.

Has Linda Meech aboard which is a plus and the market is likely to be our best guide.

Watch betting.

#10 Swan Island $10

Also here on debut with no public trial, however the stable and industry boom is huge on this filly who was ultra impressive in a recent private track gallop.

The booking of Jamie Kah is key and if the reports are true, she will be flying home late to collar them all. Top chance. Yes.
