We haven’t seen the ceiling of Think About It ($4.40), he’s coming of a career peak at his first-up run and is sure to improve off that.

Overpass ($11) has shown the ability to improve second-up, as he did last preparation and looks to get an uncontested lead here.

I Wish I Win ($6) had an outstanding Group 1 return at Caulfield over a furlong further, beaten by half a length by weight for age star Mr Brightside.

Gets a soft run back in the field and the big key is being kept fresh 40 days between runs for the drop back in trip.

David Gately's Tip

Buenos Noches ($12) beat up on the second level fresh but did it with weight.

He was then back to 1100m in The Shorts but held-up at a key stage.

He had to wait for the winner - Private Eye to ‘’go’’ then when finally fully clear at the 220m, he flew running a sizzling 10.68 last 200m (day’s fastest) without momentum.

Back to 1200m now.

Private Eye ($6) appears the forgotten horse this year and looks to have had the ideal preparation coming via a blistering win in The Shorts.

Keep in mind it took an absolute “freak run” from Giga Kick to beat him in this race last year, and his first-up win suggests he has possibly improved again this season.

It will take a genuine 1400m horse to run down Overpass, and he perfectly fits this profile.

He should be backed into second favourite ahead of I Wish I Win come start time, and looks a huge danger at generous odds to topple the favourite.
