I really like this 4YO gelding who is stepping out against older horses.

With a record of 7:4-2-1, you can see why a lot of punters are gravitating towards this son of Agitate.

First-up he was really good when third behind Matilly and Golden Boom, before running a big second to the talented Freedom Rally.

He was third-up last start when he won by just under half a length to Jemeldi and beat the rest of the field by over a length.

He has drawn well, maps great and gets a nice 2kg claim from his regular jockey Cejay Graham.

I think he is a terrific way to start the day in a race with a long tail.

Based on his starting price profile and first-up run, I am expecting strong market support for this runner.

After softly winning his trial in his customary on-pace style, Ned began his prep at Doomben where he had to drift back on the fence when hampered early on.

He found a split late to rail up and win running the 3^rd best last 1000, 800, 600, 200m of day.

The 2^nd horse was Shamaton which has recently won at the midweeks at Doomben.

This continues the amazing form around Ned from early this year.

At his last start before a spell, he stepped out past 1200m for the first time and was run down on the line by Irish Songs.

That runner has since won two more Saturday races including the $300k Listed Glasshouse Handicap.

Two starts prior, Ned led and won comfortably. Running second on that occasion was Comrade Rosa who then won four of his next five starts including the Group 2 Dane Ripper.

Looking forward to this race, Ned can settle on speed from the ideal inside gate and Jaden Lloyd jumps back on who has two wins from two rides on this horse.

I expect him to continue his winning ways on what could be a picket fence campaign in QLD.
