Hong Kong racing returns today for a strong 9 race program on the Happy Valley “B” course.

After racing on the Winter grass, typically front-runners hold an advantage at this set-up.

The weather is becoming cool but it has been very dry, so the ground will be rated Good.

The feature race for the day is Race 6, a Class 2 over 1200m. The field for this race includes several in-form sprinters, such as Sight Success, Drops Of God and Transcendent.

Trainer Frankie Lor is on fire. He's currently leading the trainer premiership and will send 5 horses out today, including Loyal Baby who has a good chance to win under Joao Moreira.

Happy Valley Race 1 #4 President Star $3.80

President Star was a two-time course and distance winner last season and will be competitive in Class 5, especially from the good draw.

This Manfred Man trained gelding has scored two wins to date, both of which came from gate 2 so the inside barrier is ideal tonight.

On his seasonal debut on 22 September, he was just beaten by All Joyful who went on to salute at his next start to frank that form-line.

He's drawn barrier 1 this time and is expected to stay behind the leader, which is a good position for him.

Joao Moreira will ride him again and the pace will suit, so he looks set to notch up another victory.

Happy Valley Race 7 #3 Red Majesty $3.30

Red Majesty has been very consistent over this course and distance since April.

He's continued that good form following the summer break, which is good to see.

Last time out, the David Hayes trained 5YO had a tough encounter as he led throughout the race which was run at a fast pace. Unsurprisingly, he faded late and was beaten by the talented All Joyful and Loyal Baby by 1.6 lengths.

The pace is expected to be slower in this clash so from barrier 3, Red Majesty will get every possible chance.

He's come back from Conghua in good shape after a freshen and with Zac Purton on board, he can produce a win tonight.
