Warwick Farm tips for 13 June 2018

Top tips for midweek racing at Warwick Farm by Josh Reed
Mid-week NSW racing heads to the west on Wednesday, as Warwick Farm plays host to an intriguing card of racing.
The track is currently rated a Heavy 8, however expect it to be upgraded for race day with minimal rain forecast in Sydney. The rail is in the true position, which should play evenly for all runners, though swoopers will come into play out wide as the track deteriorates.
Warwick Farm Race 3 Tip #1 Tswalu – Best Bet
This talented mare from the David Pfieffer yard has shown ability her entire career. Her only major blemish was the Group 2 Breeders Classic at Warwick Farm in February, which appeared to be her signalling for the end of her preparation.
She has drawn nicely for this contest, has carried big weights before and should get a nice run into the race.
She is the class of the race and that should get her home.
Tswalu is currently $4.80 fixed odds.
Warwick Farm Race 5 Tip #2 Chalmers – Next Best Bet
In his previous start, the Mossman gelding ran on well but was no match for the eventual winner Gresham who dictated out in front for the entire race.
He was impressive even though he didn’t pick up the win, putting three lengths on third against a quality field of runners.
James McDonald has stuck with him, which is a good sign, and should handle the conditions, with his dad Mossman a noted wet tracker.
He is no stranger to big weights, lumping 61.5kg at Newcastle two starts ago to beat home subsequent mid-week winner Bringagem.
He drops in grade here and will be hard to beat.
Chalmers is currently $4.00 fixed odds.
Warwick Farm Race 7 Tip #10 Latitude – Best Each-Way
The last race on the card is a tough one, but a there looks a winner here.
Neil Godbolt saddles up this Casino Prince mare who loves to shoot out of the gates and dictate the race. At her last start, she finished 2.7 lengths behind star galloper I Am Serious.
Although she has drawn the outside barrier, her speed will get her across with ease. She drops back from Saturday grade and has minimum weight to carry.
Expect her to handle the track conditions and she should be right in the finish.
Latitude is currently $6.00 fixed odds win, $2.20 fixed odds place.
