Scone hosts Tuesday's NSW sole race meeting and runners are met with glorious conditions for racing.
The rail is in the true position and should give all runners their chance in wide open fields.
Luke Hovhanesian has just dropped two of his best bets for the day below.
Luke Hovhanesian continues to find value in all his picks.
Scone Tips from Luke Hovhanesian
Race 1 #3 Dunjenni $3.00
This is a brilliant price for this 6YO mare out of Dundeel.
Last start she was forced to work overtime to find the front after being sandwiched between two horses when the barriers opened.
It took its toll late but she stuck to her task and continued to grind to the line.
For her assignment today, she gets a low barrier and retains Mitchell Bell who should put her in a prominent position again.
Akauwheo should take up the running and Dunjenni can land her back, getting a lovely track into the race.
There isn't much speed on paper and this isn't the strongest of fields.
If she is able to find clear running turning for home, I'm expecting her to finish right over the top.
She can bring up career win two at start number five.
Race 2 #1 Mr Casino $23.00
This is one of the value bets of the week.
This Rodney Northam trained gelding ran outstanding on debut even though the form guide might not reflect it.
Three wide the trip and rearward, he continued to power to the line in the straight and only finished 2.7L off the winner.
This time around, he draws soft in barrier 1 which should see him land in a more forward position and the 2kg claim sees him down to only 57kg.
I've seen enough at the trials and from his first up run that he can be competitive here.
There is no doubt he will be better suited over further, but the step up to 1200m helps and he gets plenty in his favour to put in a big run here.
Worth an each-way play.
