Evaporate comes into this race with strong form, seeking a hat-trick of wins and looking to maintain his 100% record at Moonee Valley.

Last start he dominated the field to win by 3 lengths and with a minimal 1kg rise in weight, he still looks well-placed to deliver another victory.

The barrier could present a slight challenge but with limited speed in the race, Mick Dee can navigate his way across the field and settle just off the pace.

Evaporate's late strength should overpower the likely leader Cocobill, leaving him too tough to reel in by the chasers.

 

Moonee Valley Race 7 #7 Angel Capital $6.00

Angel Capital is a promising 3yo colt trained by Clinton McDonald.

He is certainly one to watch not just for this race but also throughout the Spring.

After an impressive 2.25-length debut win at Cranbourne, he faced some tough competition in Group 2 company up in Queensland, with excuses in both his Doomben and Eagle Farm runs.

This prep, he looks ready to fire.

A strong jump-out at Cranbourne where he finished 2nd behind the highly rated Growing Empire shows he’s returned in good order.

With a projected strong pace in this race Angel Capital will be suited by the tempo, allowing him to finish strongly late.

I expect him to swoop past them on the turn and prove hard to beat.
