Saturday Horse Racing Tips for Moonee Valley 26/10/24

Got back on the winner's list with last Saturday's best bets, as Too Darn Discreet saluted at $3.50, making it 11 winning weeks from the last 13.

This week, both of my tips are paying over $4 and should prove extremely tough to beat.

Moonee Valley Horse Racing Tips and Best Bets

 

Moonee Valley Race 1 #2 Katsu $4.20

Katsu returns from a spell and has a strong record when fresh, with three first-up wins from five starts.

He’s looked superb in his two lead-up trials, beating Group 1 winners Veight and Southport Tycoon in one, and finishing behind speedsters Who Dares and Mornington Glory in the other.

Drawn perfectly in barrier 1, he should benefit from a fast race pace and get the ideal set-up.

He can show his blistering turn of foot to charge past the field.

 

Moonee Valley Race 7 #3 Mornington Glory $5.50

Mornington Glory had no luck last start at Caulfield, unable to get clear running for the last 150 metres.

I’m willing to forgive that run and instead focus on his previous performances, which include three wins at Moonee Valley, including the Group 1 Moir Stakes.

He loves racing at this track (four wins from five starts), and from barrier 4, he should get a perfect run.

I’m expecting a strong bounce-back performance, making it four wins from six this preparation.
