Saturday Horse Racing Tips at Morphettville 27/7/24

The upcoming meeting at Morphettville looks challenging on paper, with a return to the main track and the addition of a true rail for the first time since April 27th.

The forecasted rain adds another layer of complexity, prompting us to search for horses that perform well in wet conditions.

I have confidence however that our selected runners will perform well above their prices for my followers.

Race 3 #2 Quite The Lass $3.40

This Victorian visitor appears to have returned better than ever, placing at both runs and hitting the line hard on each occasion.

First-up she was put out of play early when he clipped heels not long after the start.

To still place was a remarkable effort, however her second-up run was probably even more meritorious when storming home from a mile back.

The step up from 1400m to the 1800m is ideal while the rain affected track also causes no worries.

Quite simply she looks to have so much more upside than all of these and I expect will be a class above given even luck.

Race 5 #7 Brave Star $5.50

It must be acknowledged that we are likely facing South Australia's most improved runner in Favourite Child here.

Despite opening at odds-on in what appears to be her most challenging race to date, she looks slightly vulnerable and is worth challenging.

Brave Star in contrast, is performing splendidly despite having had no luck in his two most recent outings under heavy weights.

He steps up to the mile for the first time but with minimal pressure expected upfront, this should play to his advantage.

He will benefit significantly from a weight drop of 5.5kg to carry just 55kg, the lightest he's ever been in his 25-start career!

Should there be more rain it gets even better as this horse thrives in wet conditions!

He presents an excellent each-way bet and offers good value early on.
