Saturday Horse Racing Tips at Gawler 6/7/24

Punters in South Australia are welcomed by another typical winter program as we head out to Gawler.

Despite a favourable forecast leading up to Saturday, the track has received 20mm of rain over the past week.

This suggests we'll be racing on a track rated between Soft 6 and 7 with the rail in the true position.

Once again the focus is on those that offer good each-way value.

This rising 10yo is 70 weeks between wins, so it would be fair to say this is ‘D-Day!’

However, this gelding is still producing ratings close to his best and is bursting to breakthrough having placed in 6/8 runs this campaign.

He profiles similar to his last few starts and retains Todd Pannell. He also returns to a track he has placed on each occasion here.

He enjoys wet conditions and importantly there will be enough pressure up front to let him hopefully finish over the top of these.

He only needs some overdue luck and will take plenty of holding out.

When resuming she put in a big performance to be runner-up behind the flying 'Let’s Get Down' despite never being on the track.

Young apprentice Nicola Yuen's claim brings her down to only 52.5kg, whilst the added fitness will do her a world of good.

In yet another open race, she stands out as an irresistible choice at the double-digit odds.
