Rosehill Tips for The Galaxy 2024
Forgotten 3YO to rule as King of the Galaxy

Strap yourself in, the Group 1 Galaxy is no place for the faint-hearted.
They will be stretched right across the track at the end of a high-pressure 1100m and the winner could come from anywhere.
Naturally there are many chances, but one in particular stands out as bargain-buy value.
Neil Evans Autumn Package is available for Saturday racing.
Before I get to that, a few more glaring questions will need to be answered.
Can Private Eye bounce back third-up after hitting the line late in the Group 2 Challenge over 1000m, despite being handed a very torrid run?
Certainly, he's better suited in the bigger field over a touch more ground, but the wide draw looms as a chronic leveller.
Does Buenos Noches also rebound third-up at big odds after a very flat and poor run in the Group 1 Newmarket (1200m) a fortnight ago?
Is exciting colt Ozzmosis ($4.60), resuming off two sharp trials, under the odds in attempting to make it five wins from six starts?
In between all of that, high class stallion Aft Cabin must surely be the measuring stick after that luckless first-up run in the Challenge where he should have bolted in!
Even smart and resuming mare Sunshine In Paris cannot be allowed to slip under your guard from a soft draw.
I'll dive into all this and more in my full feature preview below.

Rosehill Race 9 - The Galaxy (1100m)
Track Conditions
With the surface slowly drying out, we should start the meeting on something around a Soft 5, with the rail nudged out 2m.
The Speed Map
Given Rosehill is generally a fairer and more even track than Randwick, we can expect those runners settling in the first half of fields to have a big say.
That said, on a huge Group 1 day where there will be plenty of traffic on a surface that has had only one Saturday meeting in the last month, those from off speed positions can emerge deeper into the meeting.
The Favourite
As smart as Ozzmosis is, the early price was a mile under the odds in this company.
I would want a bare minimum of $7.50 to start playing

Neil's Best Bet
Let's get back to that big value I remarked on earlier.
It might be a leap of faith for a sparingly raced colt having only his eighth start, but the early $14.00 or more about King's Gambit was sensational value.
As first reserve he's guaranteed a run with a couple of early scratchings, and what a lovely second-up assignment for this powerhouse right down in the weights.
King's Gambit was never suited from the fence draw when resuming in the Group 1 Oakleigh Plate, but was only beaten a touch over two lengths. The good news is we know that he progresses into his next run.
On top of that he's since trialled in bold fashion, and remember he comfortably beat Ozzmosis in the Group 2 Roman Consul Stakes (1200m) last spring.
He is drawn to sit one off the fence a few lengths back. Look out if he gets a clear crack at them from the 400m.
The Dangers
Aft Cabin is the clear threat, and still the one to beat.
Uncommon James ($11.00), Remarque ($23.00) and of course Private Eye ($9.50) are all in with a shot.
