Rosehill Tips for Coolmore Classic and Phar Lap Stakes 2024

The boys are back, with Mick Gannon and Luke Hovhanesian having all the mail you need in the feature races of the day.

Race 6 - Maurice Mccarten Stakes Tip - Luke Hovhanesian

There are two plays I want to have in this field as they plummet down in the weights.

The first is Omni Man ($6.00) who has been racing well and is set to be at peak fitness third up.

There looks to be a clear forecast now for Saturday and a good track will suit him perfectly.

I also want to speck the Victorian raider Rich Fortune ($17.00) who has been racing well in top company.

The drop in grade looks suitable and will get plenty of map favours from barrier 7.

 

Race 7 - Phar Lap Stakes - Luke Hovhanesian

Kintyre ($10.00) looks a big price if he can reproduce his first up run.

He has a great second up record and will get the good track he desires.

Jason Collett is in blistering form at the moment and only adds confidence.

Kristilli ($23.00) is banging on the door and wouldn't surprise if she was in the finish.

Race 8 - Coolmore Classic Tip - Mick Gannon

This looks like a strong edition of the Coolmore, with the Chris Waller trained Zougothca ($4.00) all the rage coming off a big first-up win.

How she runs 2nd up is the query, especially off that career peak on a Soft 6 surface.

She could be left a little flat on a dry surface second-up.

Renaissance Woman ($51.00) has a great 2nd-up record, has drawn a treat and has drawn for a soft run in transit off a fast speed.

At the price she's worth an each-way ticket.

 

 

Race 9 - Ajax Stakes Tip - Mick Gannon

Amor Victorious ($3.80) ran a career peak last start and profiles to produce similar this time.

He's drawn well in barrier 7 and will roll forward to sit on-speed, to lead or sit on-speed.

This is a rise in grade, but he's weighted to win what is an open edition of the Ajax.

Just Folk ($41.00) is the blowout if rain comes on raceday and is worth an each-way ticket at $34.
