The start of the NSW Spring Carnival has arrived and we have a belter of a card at Rosehill to bring it in.

Mick Gannon and Luke Hovhanesian have just dropped their best plays for Saturday with plenty of value on offer.

This is your complete form guide for the features.

Randwick Race 7 - Up And Coming (1300m)

Mick Gannon Tip

This looks like a cracking race with the best ride likely to produce the winner.

Caballus ($3.10) draws to perfection but will need a more positive steer if he’s to run down Les Vampires.

Leaning with Caballus and J Mac to get the job done though.

Ducasse ($16) looks the one at odds who can give this a shake.

Caballus ($3.10) is a horse with plenty of talent, however to my eye he didn't like the step up in distance to 1300m at all last start.

Yes, he had his excuses but the way he finished off didn't scream to me that he's a genuine 1300m horse.

He is assisted by the lightweight and draws beautifully, but I will only chime in if he hits $4+.

The two horses I want to back at big quotes are Ducasse ($13) and Tutta La Vita ($18).

Ducasse has had two solid lead in trials for this event and can perform well fresh.

Barrier 1 is my concern as he doesn't appear to like being cluttered in amongst runners.

However, if he gets ample room he has a lethal turn of foot. 1300m suits fresh.

Tutta La Vita is the forgotten horse in this field.

The recent trial was only average, but that was a Soft 7 track and I am not sure she enjoys the sting out of the surface.

Granted we will be racing on a Good 4 this Saturday, she can bounce back hard.

Kerrin McEvoy piloted the filly to the only win in her short career and sticks on raceday.

At $18 you have to have something each-way.

Waller and Jmac

Randwick Race 8 - San Domenico (1100m)

Mick Gannon Tip

The Waterhouse/Bott pair The Instructor ($4.20) and Introducing ($6.50) have this race at their mercy.

Introducing maps the better of the two and should land leaders back for the run of the race.

Happy to side with him at the $6.50.

Kandinsky Abstract ($6) is a big lump of a horse and needs rigorous riding to get going.

He is still immature, races green and can switch off in races but on talent alone has this field covered.

Whatever he does here he will improve on vastly, but with Jmac booked and by us getting a decent price, happy to play.

The one that really caught my eye at the trials was Armed Forces ($31).

His first trial was brilliant coming from off speed to power home and the second was a nice quiet tick over when asked for very little.

He was good to the line under a hold and looks ready to fire fresh.

Another brilliant each-way play.

Randwick Race 9 - BM100 (1400m)

Mick Gannon Tip

Kalino ($3.10) was very well-backed last week before struggling to keep up over the 1200m.

The 1400m looks ideal on the 7-day backup.

I suspect he’ll land in the firing line and give a huge sight.

Of the others, Inver Park ($9.50) has a big run in him this prep.

Luke Hovhanesian Tip

There is so much value in this event.

I'll start off with a play on Caprice Des Dieux ($31).

This French import was travelling really well last start along the rail in a hard run event.

He swung the bend and attempted to find a gap only for it to shut on him, losing all momentum.

He then continued to race in restricted room for the entire straight before getting out when the race was over.

He was strong through the line and can build on that performance here.

Jett Stanley gets a Saturday metro ride, bringing him down to the minimum weight.

Undoubtedly, he is being targeted at some feature middle-distance events, but while on the fresh side, can sprint hard here.

Tycoonist ($19) also represents value.

He arguably should have won at his last start at Flemington if he didn't hit a severe bias track.

He was the only runner to make ground out wide that day and took late ground off the winner.

He returns to Sydney now and gets Jmac aboard.

Will go back from a wide barrier but can be flying home late.

Randwick Race 10 - BM88 (1200m)

Mick Gannon Tip

There is a chance we’re going off one run too early, but the price of Ka Bling ($15) is enough to get me involved first-up.

I love the profile of a career peak run, then sent for a spell.

Most horses return a better proposition with that profile and I suspect he’ll do the same.

He’s had two quiet trials in readiness for this, both full of merit.

From barrier 5, he maps to land on pace and he’s sure to be right in the finish.

Luke Hovhanesian Tip

Loves Rosehill, excels at this distance and draws barrier 1.

There isn't much more to love about the chances of Astero ($12) until you see the price.

This 6YO gelding can bounce back big time here after a disappointing run up north at Doomben.

His recent trial was solid enough and he will put himself right up on speed and prove very hard to run down.

Can end the day with a win on an each-way basis.
