Randwick Best Bets and Tips from Mick Gannon

 

Race 7 #2 Noble Soldier $31.00

He sat closer than expected first-up in a listed race over 1100m and wasn't able to show his best on that occasion when wide and over-racing.

Back to a very fast run 1000m looks ideal for him 2nd up and after the claim for Angus Villiers, he's in well at the weights.

Fourteen of the 16 acceptances all like to lead or sit on-speed, so sparks will fly and it's the backmarkers who will be the beneficiary of this.

This is the easiest race he's contested in some time and looks the perfect set up for him to storm over the top.

 

Race 8 #5 Iknowastar $5.00

Looks a race in two between my top pick and Rise Of The Masses, who are the only two on-speed runners in the race.

Iknowastar was unsuited on the rain affected going last start but is set to peak 4th-up out to the mile.

The fitness edge will be the difference between the two with the Bjorn Baker trained galloper edging out the Waterhouse/Bott charge.

 

Randwick Best Bets and Tips from Luke Hovhanesian

 

Race 3 #17 Ensign Parker $17.00

Considering the huge field there appears to be only moderate speed in this event.

The winner from this is Ensign Parker who will land on-pace and get all the favours from barrier 7.

He was brilliant when resuming from a month let up at Muswellbrook and will strip fitter here.

He plummets in the weights and gets Ashley Morgan in the saddle who is in some terrific form at the moment.

He handles all track conditions and looks massive overs at the current price.

 

Race 10 #10 Starman $8.00

This 5YO gelding is deserving of a victory and gets his chance here.

He is at peak fitness once again and gets the cut out of the ground which he loves.

Lee Magorian hops in the saddle and from barrier 5 will get him in a forward position.

Looks really well placed to breakthrough at an each-way quote.
