Randwick Tip from Luke Hovhanesian
Randwick Race 8 #9 Tazaral $12.00
Hasn't he returned to the track in style!
This 5YO gelding showed glimpses of talent in his first local campaign but his recent trials have been mighty impressive.
In his first trial at Randwick, he took a sit off-pace, before powering through the line to split Electric Girl (Group 2 winner) and Too Much Caviar.
In his second at Canterbury, he showed versatility to sit outside the leader before powering away from rivals to win by just under 2L.
Both trials were over 1000m+ and I love they are stepping him straight out over 1600m.
The Snowdens clearly have a big vision for him over these Winter months and will be hoping to tick off his preparation with a bang.
Tom Sherry rides and from the wide barrier will allow him to drift back in the field before a blistering finish home.
Randwick Tip from Michael Gannon
Randwick Race 5 #9 Tintookie $4.50
This 3YO filly has come in for early support and it is no surprise.
She has been running on strongly from off-speed positions at tight turning tracks and now finally gets her chance at Randwick.
The long and wide open straight will give her every chance to let down, as will the soft barrier draw of 4.
She rises to 1200m which will suit and gets leading rider Brett Prebble in the saddle.
She can posy up a bit closer in the run before storming home over the top of them.
Randwick Tip from Dean Watling
Randwick Race 5 #9 Tintookie $4.50
Keen to be with the Brad Widdup trained Tintookie here.
The 3YO filly has her hoof on the till here 3rd up and is deserving of a win.
She has taken her medicine in her first two runs when going back from wide draws.
At her last start, she reeled off some slick sectionals behind Hi Dubai.
She gets a positive map change here and can turn the tables on Hi Dubai.
