Race for Australia's Punter of the Year

We've passed the half-way mark in 2016, which gives us six months of punting history to use to see who is leading the race amongst Australia's racing media and punters, to become Australia's Punter of the Year.

Amazingly TurfCutter's biggest winning hauls come from International racing which suggests he's either ahead of the Australian market on International form or that he has a solid source from Europe or the UK.

DuxFeminaFacti has been driving some huge profits too. With only 144 selections placed in the first half of the year he has found 71 winners which represents a massive 49% win strike rate. His $12,510 cash profit off $100 win bets represents 40% profit on turnover with his winners averaging odds of $4.61.

Not surprising to see last year's Punter of the Year in the top places again. Formulator boasts 23% profit on turnover from 65 selections placed this year giving his followers $6,350 profit from $100 bets on his tips. He's becoming as safe as houses.

 

Win Profit On Turn Over

The Australian racing media have shown-up here. Leading this category is SKY Racing's West Australian race caller Craig Morrison. His 58 selections placed this year have found no less than 24 winners - that's a 41% strike rate. At average win odds of $3.50 his profit on turnover (POT) at the mid-way mark was 45%.

Close behind him is DuxFeminFacti whose 40% POT puts him second in both categories and in with a big chance of getting one of the two Punter of the Year awards on January 1, 2017.

Veteran racing journalist with the Sydney Morning Herald, Craig Mordey is a whisker behind on 39.7% POT from his 107 selections. Mordey has achieved his high profitability from a relatively low 23% strike rate, compensated by a significant $6 average price coming from his winning tips.
