Market mover tips at Flemington and Doomben

Smart money flows at Doomben and Flemington

Last week we managed to get home two of our Market Movers at both venues at prices of $7.50 and $3.70. With seven starters from our report going around punters took home a tidy 60% profit on turnover.

Money is again flowing in early betting markets and the selections below represent an excellent lead to reveal those horses singled out by professional, informed money.

Malahide

Trainer Michael Costa’s booking of Galloway to ride sparks initial interest as this hoop usually has his pick of the bigger stables. Was heavily backed on debut ($5.00-$3.70) and won accordingly when she had to come wide in a win full of merit. Will be a challenge drawn out in gate 8 here but does look the one. Can find cover and win.

Granny Red Shoes

It takes a significant amount of money to move the price when they are this short as $1.55 and that is exactly what has happed here, with a trim-up in betting to $1.50. Suspect there is some big stable money behind the move and possibly the ownership group including Segenhoe Stud who do like a bet. She is getting very short now, however looks classes above these going off past performances.

No Annamossity

Form is excellent this prep with a last start win this course and distance, and a close up second the start prior at Ipswich. Heathcote has opted to go with 3kg claiming apprentice Boris Thornton for this assignment which brings him right down in the weights. Very hard to beat.

Invincible Gem

Was a huge tip in the Stradbroke from the coat tuggers at big odds and ran ok when running 9 of 16 after being wide throughout. This is an easier race (mares/fillies) and does appreciate the shifting track where any rain would lift her chances. The money looks right and could easily show up.

Mile Of Krishan

From the powerful Hayes, Hayes and Dabernig yard and looks to have come back well going off the first up performance here last start when running a close second to Barthelona. Was untouched in betting that day however they are interested this week. Going off the good run and record at the trip (4:1-2-0) she should be close to speed throughout and right in the finish.

Ducimus

Last start was first up here when a close second beating the very smart Miss Leonidas home (ran third). That horse has since come out and brained a field by 6 lengths at Mooney Valley. That is more than good enough form for this race, where he will race close to speed and should out-sprint them all.

Penske

Draws beautifully in gate 3 and have no doubt he will control it from there. Gai and Adrian always want them up on pace and this fellow has the natural tactical speed to jump straight on the bunny and repel any challenges from out wide, where most of the speed horses are rough in the market. Could start shorter in betting considering the speed map favours if the track is playing into leaders hands.

Man From Uncle

$7.50 to $5.00 was the first cut in betting and it is always a good sign when the first chop is in large increments which signifies the money is well regarded. Comes out of very hot grade last prep when he ran in the Group 1 Darley Classic albeit finishing well back in twelfth. Must be training the house down at home to warrant this flow of money. Yes.
