Horse Racing Lays on Saturday
Randwick Race 1 #2 I Found You $1.85
She looks to be an above-average filly however is now forced to make the sharp step up in grade from a weak Wednesday maiden to a genuine Saturday metro class, which is never easy.
She was dominant at the Kensington on debut, however that form hasn't stacked up since and she finds a race here where most of her rivals are also recent winners.
It is worth noting that she might have been favoured last start by the smaller circuit, enjoying an ideal run while positioned just behind the leaders.
There should be more pressure here to find positions, and from gate 10 she has plenty to overcome.
There is some chance to be posted wide throughout unless they decide to drag right back in the field.
Avoid.
Randwick Race 8 #3 Iknowastar $2.70
He has been up for an eternity now and the travel schedule is likely to bite soon, with multiple interstate visits in the past few weeks.
This horse is often over-bet due to its on-pace racing profile, however that particular pattern is not always ideally suited to the big Randwick track.
He looks vulnerable here even if they find the front.
The long Randwick straight allows plenty of runway for a few of the mid-field/rearward placed runners to reel him in.
If the pattern is “off-fence” expect $3+ is widely available with all operators come start time.
This race has depth, and he appears an excellent risk late in the day at Randwick.
