Kembla Grange Race 2

#9 River Tamar $4.00 | Save on #5 Picko Rocks $10.00

This is a really interesting race and presents value angles for a few reasons.

Firstly, of the 10 runners in this field, six of them have all trialled (twice) together leading into this run.

As a result, we are getting a really good indication of how each runner is going comparatively against each other.

I thought two of these runners were super with different tactics employed.

River Tamar sat outside the leader and was really strong through the line without being asked much of an effort.

On the other hand Picko Rocks came from an off-speed position, under a ride, to storm home into 4th.

With the rail out 6m from the 1100m to the winning post, Kembla could be up to it's normal tricks.

Happy to play on both runners.

Race 3 #2 Windmill Road $4.60

This now 6YO gelding finds his way to the Sara Ryan stable for his debut run.

All the way back in 2019 he was in the Bjorn Baker stable before being medically retired.

He now returns to the track with a point to prove and has trialled brilliantly leading into this first up run.

He has genuine early speed and a high cruising speed able to burn off his rivals here.

Aaron Bullock takes the ride and this is a powerful trainer / jockey combo.

Can start his career with a bang.
