This week’s edition of market movers features a potential star in Benedetta, who is lightly raced and already showing plenty of stakes grade potential.

The market expects the filly to win this Sandown Benchmark race with authority!

Whilst at Randwick a first-up runner for the Waller yard appears to be more forward at this stage of the preparation for this particular yard and is likely to be ridden with significant intent.

Sandown Tips

Sandown

Benedetta

Has been ultra-impressive at her past two starts and appears to be a potential Group Star!

She simply toyed with them here last start in Benchmark 64 grade and although stepping up in grade to Benchmark 78 level, she looks right up to it.

She looks a genuine stakes horse and this will be another stepping stone towards richer feature races later in the year.

Yes.

Victory Bay

Started favourite ($3) last start at Flemington when simply got too far back in the run and never had a genuine chance from the position in running.

They may show more intent here and take a midfield position from the ideal draw in gate 5.

The stable is simply flying and can continue the winning run here.

Daytona Bay

High-quality Peter Moody galloper who has won 4 of 5 career starts and strikes only an even race here, to continue the excellent winning strike rate.

He has the tactical speed to position wherever they chose.

They will race in a forward position and may be able to dictate from out in front.

J Kah jumps back aboard and the horse could simply explode first up.

Belle Et Riche

A genuine mare who loves to hit the line hard, and can win again following the impressive victory at Flemington last start.

She also gets Ben Melham on this occasion, who is riding in great form and should be in for a huge season.

They will find a midfield position in the moving line and from there can be in an ideal stalking position to unleash hell late.

Randwick Tips

Randwick

Rupertaar

Returns from a QLD raid where finished 6 of 12 in a high-quality million-dollar Weight-For-Age race (The Syndicate).

Coming back to Sydney he strikes a much easier event at Benchmark 78 level and should appreciate the drop down in grade.

The stable must believe he is going very well to warrant the trip North last start and back to the big track here he can atone.

Capitol Queen

Was heavily backed ($4.60 into $3.90) at Canterbury last start before braining them all to race away with it.

This is harder now against the boys, however she appears to have genuine city class ability and deserves her chance in 3yo Open grade.

The yard is simply lethal with their placement, especially in Sydney.

King Ratel*

Wasn’t expected to do much last start at Rosehill when the betting had him a drifting ($17-$20) outsider, however he still went very close to run second.

He is now rock-hard fit and back to 1800m should be one of the fittest in this contest.

Nash Rawiller is a significant rider upgrade and should improve the horse from his last start performance.

Lindermann*

Waller 3YO colt has been readied for this with two solid trial hit outs.

The stable first-up is always some risk, as they generally give them time early in the preparation however with the lead-in trials, it may suggest he is more forward and intent could be shown.

The low draw can also be a guide with this yard and when they have favours here they are likely to be ridden with vigour and put into the race early.
