Godolphin Quality

This week punters have again attacked early markets with a number of Godolphin 2yo’s as the focus in betting.
Their young horse stocks are all quality, with only the best produced for race day.
The big betting John O’Shea yard also appears to be setting one up for a plunge at Randwick, with a quite run given last start.
Moonee Valley Tips
Amur
Godolphin 2YO colt who no doubt has good ability, arriving from a stable where the large talent pool appears endless.
This yard only presents their young horses who are showing enough at home, hence he should be above average.
They will be looking to give the young rider every chance to win at Moonee Valley and are likely to have handpicked this mount to do so.
Chandon Burj
Started favourite last start at Sandown where she did win well after leading throughout.
She is now rock-hard fit after plenty of recent racing and should jump straight to the front again.
This race appears to lack genuine speed and she has the opportunity to sprint hard off the front and give nothing else a chance.
Yes.
Anilla
Smart Team Hayes gelding who has won at both career starts and has been sent straight to town for the hat-trick and richer prizemoney.
He was heavily backed ($1.80 into $1.60) at Wangaratta last time out, when dominant from a close-to-speed position.
This would indicate he has plenty of ability and deserves his chance against the city-grade horses.
Can win again.
Playoffs
Popular galloper who was a huge tip around the industry to win the Darwin Cup to round out last prep, before winning that race accordingly.
His first-up record (5:2-0-0) is good enough to suggest he will be ready here.
Watch betting late and if more money arrives it may pay to follow.
Randwick Tips
Fleetwood
Another quality Godolphin 2YO, this time presented in Sydney and for a rider in white-hot form.
As discussed with their Melbourne runner this yard has a wealth of 2YO talent to choose from and the runners making it to race day are likely to be showing plenty.
The stable systems and processes are second to none. Look for the team to continue their winning ways here.
Tony Be
Has a booming finish on him and strikes a race where the favourite (Logan Street Lad) may have been flattered last start when he had the gun run.
He will need a touch of tempo due to his run-on profile, however should get that with Mr Dependable running along in front.
He will be looming large over the final 100m.
Looks Like Elvis
Returns from a Melbourne raid at Flemington, where he only just missed (0.5 lengths) in the Chester Manifold.
He clearly should have won last start when wide throughout, and still had the audacity to keep finding.
Fitter now they may opt to ride much closer in the run and that could make all the difference.
Yes.
Shalailed
Comes out of a strong race last start in the Listed Gosford Guineas where he was never really clear and very inconclusive.
The O’Shea camp are astute judges and where there is smoke, there is fire.
They have a number of pro-punters associated with the stable and if there is a savage move in betting, they have likely been tipped.
This appears the case here.
