Warwick Farm Best Bet and Tips from Mick Gannon

 

Race 1 #6 Lilac $2.80

She showed ability by winning her maiden at Wyong and arrives here with the map, weight and fitness advantage over the favourite Private Life.

No doubt Private Life will be the horse to follow out of the race, but first-up with 61kg and from the inside gate may be a bridge too far. Especially if he happens to land 3 pairs back the fence.

Lilac was nominated for black-type racing this Saturday but connections have opted for this midweek BM64 as her next stepping stone.

Looks well placed to make it two on the bounce.

 

Race 3 #2 Sir Artie $5.50

He was restrained early before being pulled wide in the straight and running home well against a poor race shape last start.

He’s in well after the 3kg claim for Zac Waddick to carry 58.5kg, only half a kilo more than his last start.

This is a good drop in class, from Saturday BM78 to a midweek BM72.

The extra 100m is suitable and he maps a treat from barrier 2 to sit midfield with little work to do.

His best runs have all come third up and beyond and he profiles to produce a big run today.
