Race 5 #9 Let's Go Again $19.00

This mare rises sharply in grade, but we're yet to see her ceiling and she has the scope to win this race.

She relished a rain-affected track last start, running a clear peak over the 1200m at Kembla.

That race has produced a subsequent winner in Mogul Monarch who belted his rivals at Hawkesbury last week franking the form.

Drawing a wide barrier is of little concern given there is a long run into one turn and with the track rain-affected, a high chance of the rail being off.

She needs to improve a couple of lengths to win this, but with conditions in her favour and upside aplenty, she's a great each-way bet at big odds.

 

Race 7 #3 Balance Play $9.50

This former UK galloper has several high ratings to his name and if he turns up with those, he'll be very hard to beat.

He's accomplished on rain-affected going and his recent trial suggests he's ready to fire.

The Waterhouse/Bott stable is getting the knack of having these imports firing, so we'll trust he's ready to go and take the big price available.

The draw/map isn't ideal on paper, but the positive racing pattern of the stable should take care of that nice and early.
