Tuncurry hosts a great Monday meeting with plenty of talented country horses looking to take the next step in their young careers.

The surface has come up as a Soft 6 and the rail is out 2m from the 1000m to the 350m. The rest of the track is in the true and a cutaway is in use in the straight.

Race 4 #7 Keitany $4.20

Enters this contest with a new stable and off an excellent trial a fortnight ago.

She has always had peak performances first up in her campaigns and looks set for another good debut over the 1005m scamper.

Aaron Bullock takes the reins and should settle her just worse than midfield in the small field.

There is enough early tempo in this event to make the race be run true and granted they can run on, will be storming home to be in the finish.

Looks very well placed.

 

Race 7 #11 Christa $3.20

This 4YO mare hasn't put a foot wrong in her short career so far.

Undefeated and progressive, she has returned to the trials in modest fashion but hasn't been asked for much of an effort.

The last 1200m trial will have put fitness into her legs and she looks primed for a first up kill.

She handles all track conditions and from barrier 9 will land in a great position in running.

The form from her previous campaign has stacked up well in the country and she looks hard to beat.
