Race 5 - The Kosciuszko (1200m) - Luke Hovhanesian

The current quote for Front Page is gross unders and with so much value around, you can afford to play two or three horses in this event.

The runners I like are Bandi's Boy ($17.00), Far Too Easy ($6.00) and Boom Torque ($8.50).

All three are going to get such cozy runs off the speed and with the expected fireworks up top should be able to storm home.

The current quote of Bandi's Boy in particular is ridiculous and I would be stunned if he doesn't start much shorter come race day.

 

 

Race 7 - Sydney Stakes (1200m) - Luke Hovhanesian

With this rain hitting Sydney on Friday, Mazu ($7.00) looks primed to breakthrough third up here.

He is at peak fitness and will land the box seat with Nash aboard.

If this turns into a true slug fest in the straight he has the desire and will to take this out.

 

 

Race 8 - Silver Eagle (1300m) - Mick Gannon

A very open edition of the Silver Eagle with luck in run and the best ride likely to determine the winner.

Two horses at silly odds are  ($51.00) who was flying last prep and looks the type of horse that'll relish dry tracks, so look for him to jump out of the ground.

Well Timed ($21.00) is the other, he's worked his way through his grades with relative ease this prep and whilst this is a big ride in class, he looks smart enough to do it.

Maps well and retains Nash.

Happy to play them both each way.

 

 

Race 9 - King Charles III (1600m) - Mick Gannon

What a race this is set to be.

Pride Of Jenni ($2.00) will be highballing out in front, who will bring the rest of the field up to her?

It's likely to be Major Beel and Pericles.

If they do the hard work, Fangirl ($3.80) will get a lovely run into the race and fly over the top late.

She's the best miler in Australia on a Good track and she'll get her chance to prove that again on Saturday.
