The early quote of around $3.70 for Angel Capital might have been a touch skinny, but if he drifts toward $4.00 or better, it’s time to get involved.

He stamped himself as a future star first-up at The Valley, cruising to a Listed win in second gear, clocking 1:09.80 for 1200m.

A full second quicker than fellow Listed winner Rosberg on the same card.

His closing sectionals stacked up alongside Group 1 Moir winner Baraqiel, despite doing it from well off the speed.

Another Will is far too tough and genuine not to improve second-up — he’s three wins from four at this stage of a prep.

Damask Rose has a booming finish and will love a fast-run 400m dash late if she gets clear air.

Arkansaw Kid is at peak fitness and maps well, though the fence draw may restrict his options.

Pinstriped can hit back third-up if ridden cold, and Sepals remains a query horse but brings talent and upside into her toughest test yet.
