The biggest weekend of Spring racing is here with the running of The Everest and Caulfield Guineas.
Land the hot mail from Mick Gannon and Luke Hovhanesian now.
This is your complete form guide for the features.
Randwick Race 7 - The Everest (1200m)
Mick Gannon Tip
The speed map favours for Overpass ($11) and Think About It ($4.20) are too significant to overlook.
Think About It - we haven’t seen the ceiling of Think About It, he’s coming of a career peak at his first-up run and is sure to improve off that.
Overpass has shown the ability to improve second-up, as he did last preparation and looks to get an uncontested lead here.
Luke Hovhanesian Tip
Happy to play Private Eye ($6) at the current quote.
He put in a blistering run to win the Group 2 Shorts and there was still plenty of improvement to come.
Joe Pride knows how to train a sprinting star and Private Eye is every bit that.
Will also be having savers on:
Shinzo ($15)
Espiona ($15).
Randwick Race 9 - King Charles III Stakes (1600m)
Mick Gannon Tip
Fangirl ($8) gets to her ideal set-up.
A dry track, strong tempo and out to the mile third-up.
J-Mac sticks aboard and she represents value.
She’ll have to defeat star miler Mr Brightside who is the deserved favorite in what is a competitive race for a cool $5 million.
Luke Hovhanesian Tip
He might not be the most talented horse in this field but he gets such a good set up here to be worth a play.
My Oberon ($31) hasn't won for a while but is slowly warming up this prep and looks set for a return to his best.
He has drawn wide in two of his three runs this preparation and has done well to finish no further back than 2L from some stars in this field such as Zaaki and Think It Over.
He is set to peak here 4th up and gets an inform Chad Schofield for the ride.
From barrier 4 he can be more forward in the run and will get every chance to let down.
Love the $7 on offer for him to place.
Caulfield Race 9 - Caulfield Guineas (1600m)
Mick Gannon Tip
King Colardo ($8) has been set for this race all prep.
His disappointing run in the Golden Rose wasn’t unexpected given he was second-up off a 35-day break into that race.
Now three weeks between runs, he’ll relish the 1600m and from the good draw maps to sit midfield with cover.
He can explode late over the top.
Luke Hovhanesian Tip
Copacabana ($201) can produce a massive Guineas boilover.
This colt was hammered on debut in Sydney from $21 into a $4 SP.
They proved too quick for him on that day over the 1200m, finishing 3rd behind Piercing Arrow and Need Some Luck.
Need Some Luck won at Warwick Farm this week sitting three deep the whole trip.
Copacabana has since been sent down to the Victorian M,W & J Hawkes camp and has produced two great runs over unsuitable distances.
First up in a 1200m Bendigo maiden he got sent rearward and made up a stack of ground on Verdad in the straight.
The latter mentioned is a $23 chance in this Guineas.
If he wasn't 10 wide on the bend and forced to cover a stack of ground, he arguably goes close to knocking off Verdad.
Second up over 1300m at Sandown, he ran home in the quickest last 600,400,200m of the race off a very slow tempo behind The Instructor who is a Group 2 winner in Sydney.
Throw in that he got his tongue over the bit and he has genuine excuses in both runs behind some smart types this campaign.
He now rises to 1600m and is set to produce a career peak.
Jordan Childs takes the ride and from barrier 6 will have him midfield with cover.
If he gets clear air at them... watch out.
Caulfield Race 10 - Toorak Hanidcap (1600m)
Mick Gannon Tip
How do they beat the WA wonder mare Amelia's Jewel ($2.20)?
Her work in blinkers mid-week was scintillating, she showed her versatility last start by sitting on speed when running a track record on her way to victory.
This is her toughest test to date, but she should be giving a huge sight.
The Inevitable looks like a big danger, he just needs luck.
Arguably should have won the Epsom last start and the All-Star Mile last prep.
He’ll give a huge sight as well.
Luke Hovhanesian Tip
Amenable ($17) is a big price for a horse who has the talent to storm home with only 52kg on his back.
His past few efforts have been disappointing, but he has struck leader bias races and finally gets a good set up.
They will fly around Caulfield and if he gets a run at them down the outside, he might blow them away.
