Turf renovations are currently being conducted on the main Happy Valley track.

As a result, there will be an all-weather meeting at Sha Tin tonight with 8 races.

Frankie Lor has had quite good results recently and he will have 7 runners tonight, including Youthful Deal in the featured Class 2 1650m in Race 7.

Youthful Deal was hopeful to run in this year’s Dubai World Cup Carnival but due to a ratings drop was not invited.

There are no Class 2 1200m sprints in the coming months, so this sprinter will step up in distance tonight.

Sha Tin Race 5 #9 Cool Blue $3.60

Cool Blue is still a maiden after 11 starts in Hong Kong, but his best performances came on the all-weather track.

Last season in a similar night meeting he ran a strong 2nd over this course and distance.

He chased well last time out on the all-weather again, and this 5YO is quite competitive at the rating of 49 and carrying 125 lbs.

This Foxwedge gelding had an impressive barrier trial on the 10th of October and he is now very fit for racing.

There should be some speed in this race with Mega Bonus, Magic Supreme and Eight Trigrams expected to lead.

This should set him up perfectly to swoop home over the top.

Captain Win has good second up results in Hong Kong, scoring a win and a 2nd from two attempts

This 6YO son of Toronado can handle both turf and all-weather surfaces, having run 4th twice over this trip at ratings of 81 and 73 respectively.

He is now rated 65 and was just beaten by 0.75L last start for his seasonal debut.

His recent barrier trial was impressive and he is showing great fitness at track work.

Andrea Atzeni takes the ride for the first time and gate 5 is good for the horse to lead, dictate and win.
