Coffs Harbour Best Bet and Tips from Luke Hovhanesian
Luke Hovhanesian continues to nail his best bets at a good rate!
Race 3 #5 Mosgiel Daisy $5.50
This now 4YO mare hit the line well to score well at Taree two starts ago under a big weight.
She then followed that up with a last start fifth when she was not beaten far at the same track.
She returns to a track she has previously placed at and is reunited with Ben Looker who has piloted her at her past two starts.
With only 56.5kg on her back she can measure up in a very open field.
Race 4 #8 Art's Alive $5.00
This is the bet of the week for me.
She has contested much stronger races than this all throughout her career and finally drops back to country grade where she is going to be awfully hard to beat.
She gave plenty of cheek in the Inglis Millennium earlier this year running some blistering splits over the first 600m.
She will need to go nowhere near as quick to lead this field up and with a controlled tempo is going to be awfully hard to reel in.
Andrew Adkins is in great form and can boot her home at a big price.
Should be closer to favourite.
Scone Best Bet and Tips from Luke Hovhanesian
Race 3 #4 Balmierro $2.50
This 4YO gelding might be a 14 start maiden but he has been racing for the majority of his career around the metro and provincial tracks of Sydney.
He is going to appreciate the drop in class here in the country and draws perfectly to get a very soft run throughout.
Regular jockey JVO takes the ride and the Heavy surface will be of no concern.
He can make his move prior to the bend and charge home over the top of his rivals.
Race 5 #8 Lady Devine $3.70
This mare's two runs back from a let up have been full of merit.
She hasn't finished far off the winner and is another who drops back to country grade.
Mitchell Bell takes the ride and from barrier 7 can sit closer in the run than previous outings to the track.
The heavy surface should be of no concern and by race 5 she can get to the ideal lanes out wide.
