Race 2 #2 Are You Joking $2.20
This 3YO gelding can make it two wins from his last three starts here.
He returns to the track where he showed a devastating turn of foot to sweep home and beat a strong BM58 field.
He was solid enough last start considering he landed in inferior going on the day and that event was much stronger than the field he contests today.
From the soft draw of barrier 6 he should land midfield in the moving line and be able to storm home granted he gets some clear running in the straight.
Race 3 #12 Image Of The Sun $2.90
Getting out to the mile here should make all the difference for this daughter of The Autumn Sun.
She was good at Scone as a warm favourite in an open field and indicated she had further improvement to come.
She bolted in second up last campaign when storming home from well back in the field.
Aided by barrier 1, she will get a very soft run in transit and only needs some luck pushing into clear air in the straight.
If she gets the gaps she is going to be hard to hold out.
Moruya Best Bets and Tips from Luke Hovhanesian
Race 3 #4 Pretty Rho $2.30
It was a brilliant win from this 3YO filly last start at Kembla Grange.
She settled off the pace and when asked for an effort scorched home to win by close to 4L
That was her first effort over the mile and it seemed to unlock a new refreshed horse.
She sticks at that distance range and Robert Downey retains the ride.
There is a good tempo in this event and if he slots in with cover he will be having the final crack at them.
Race 4 #11 Bambi Belle $3.60
It was a dominant victory last start to break out of maiden grade and there is no reason this 3YO filly can't go back to back.
She made the running throughout on that occasion and from barrier 3 similar tactics will be in use again.
Olivia Chambers retains the ride and brings her down to only 56kg.
She is well weighted, has map advantages and looks the most progressive out of this field.
Best of the day.
