Horse Racing Tips for Dubbo 5/2/24

Racing heads to Dubbo this Monday with a competitive day of country racing assembled.

The rail is out 3m from the 900m-400m and true the remainder.

Luke Hovhanesian has dissected the fields and found some value amongst his two top picks.

Race 6 #12 Rhumbadu $4.80

This 4YO mare is racing in career best form and looks well placed to notch up another victory here.

Last start at Cowra she got back in the run and charged home to just miss on pace runner Rubi Air.

They go head to head again today but Rubi Air faces a much tougher speed map, being drawn barrier 12 with plenty of pace underneath.

This will suit Rhumbadu perfectly.

If she finds some clear running room down the centre of the Dubbo track, she can storm home over the top of her rivals.

 

Race 8 #8 Raging Rush $4.00

This 4YO can break through for a preparation win here, returning to his home track of Dubbo.

Trained by Clint Lundholm, this sparingly raced gelding will be looking to take his strike rate to 40% at start 13.

He won a Class 3 last Autumn and then was competitive in deep races last campaign.

Last start at Gilgandra he was beaten by 0.2L in their BM74 Town Plate.

He maps well here to land in the moving line and with an ounce of luck can storm home over the top of his rivals here.
