Canberra Best Bet Tip from Luke Hovhanesian

 

Race 4 #3 Everido $4.20

It was an unusual performance first up from this 3YO gelding.

At the trials and on race day he has normally race in an on speed position, but found himself at the rear of the field.

While running on strongly behind the talented I'm A Steel he could never bridge the margin.

Now second up I am expecting a much more positive ride and from barrier 7 can slide forward to land the box seat.

He looks a really talented country type and I'm expecting a big bounce back performance here. 

 

Race 7 #8 Art's Alive $11.00

I tipped him up as a roughie in the Inglis Millenium and thought the effort was solid enough to warrant another bet.

He drew the carpark on that occasion and whilst jumping the best in the field, had to burn all his energy to find the front.

He was pestered at all stages throughout the race and was never allowed to settle.

He faded in the straight but can be forgiven first up from a spell.

Now second up, with a slightly better draw and against a weaker field he appears a cracking each-way bet.

He can slide across from barrier 10 to sit outside the leader or take the box seat, and if the on pace runners control the race than he should be in the finish.
