It's Ladies' Day at Hawkesbury and there is a cracking day of racing ahead for punters.

Hawkesbury Race 1 #1 Magnatear $3.30

This talented son of Written Tycoon hasn't had his fair share of luck in his young career.

On debut at Canterbury, he was well supported before dumping the rider when the barriers opened.

He then went to Wyong when he was a hot tip around town.

He was crunched from $5.50 into $2.1 and arguably should have won.

He sat rearward and stormed home but couldn't reel in the leaders.

After that effort he was sent for a long spell, given time to mature and build out his frame.

He has come back a picture of health and looks set to fire here off two brilliant trials.

The barrier draw of 6 is perfect and will let him settle midfield in the moving line.

He meets a weak field and given a good run should be way too good for these.

 

Hawkesbury Race 2 #4 Big Bay Wolf $5.00

John O'shea trains this brute of a colt who can kickstart his career here.

He was brilliant on debut behind the talented Written Silk and raceday rival here Rhesus.

He ended up midfield with cover and was strong late, indicating the step up to 1400m should be perfect.

As he matures there is no doubt he will step out over further, but as he still learns and matures this is the perfect set up.

Look for him late.
