Horse Racing Longshots for Rosehill

Rosehill Race 1 #10 Long Genes $21.00

I tipped this 3YO gelding on preparation debut when he tackled BM78 grade at Randwick.

On that occasion he clearly wasn't forward enough and struggled to make ground off a slow tempo.

Second up and off a freshen, he got sent to Class 1 grade at Hawkesbury and made good ground off a solid tempo to salute.

Now third up he returns to the city in midway grade.

There is always a good speed set in these races and granted he can find a position in running from barrier 14, he should have every chance to storm home.

Rachel King goes aboard for the first time and she is a great judge of pace.

Just needs some luck early to be figuring in the finish here.

 

Rosehill Race 3 #9 Gan Teorainn $61.00

I thought the first up run of this 4YO mare was solid enough to warrant a specking here at massive odds.

She sat three wide in a huge field and was pushed 10 deep on the turn.

She loomed to run on strongly but the sharp sprint over the 1600m left her flat footed after the difficult run.

She continued to grind to the line and finished towards the rear.

Now second up she will have added fitness and the step up to 1900m looks perfect.

From barrier 10 Tommy Berry can land her in a great position in running in the moving line and give her every chance to storm home.
