Race 1 #11 Just Feelin' Lucky $21.00

This is a ridiculous each-way play for this 2YO filly considering she comes through the same race as the favourite Megastar Heart.

She drew barrier 12 on debut, sat wide throughout and got pushed very wide on the bend.

She still motored to the line and was only 6L off the winner.

Now second up and rising in trip, she drops in the weights and gets Dylan Gibbons in the saddle from a much kinder draw.

If she lands closer to the speed she should be able to show her wicked turn of foot and storm home to be in the finish.

Great way to kick off the day.

 

Race 2 #12 Wild Gypsy $6.00

This 3YO filly was mighty impressive on debut.

She showed brilliant gate speed, sat on a hot tempo, over raced and still managed to kick strongly on the bend.

She only got collared late by Pippie Beach who has since gone on to win in BM72 metro grade.

From barrier 8 it will be the same tactics, to throw the handlebars down and shoot straight to the front.

Her breeding suggests she will have no issue with the heavy surface and she looks well placed to go one better here.
