Free Horse Racing Tips for Eagle Farm 16/12/23

We’re back at Eagle Farm for a ripper 10 race card, with 3 Listed events and a Group 3 to headline.

With heat and sunshine all week in Brisbane, the track will be a Good 4 and perfect racing conditions await.

Two and three year olds are beginning to make their claims for the Magic Millions, as the Brisbane summer carnival takes centre stage in Australian racing.

QLD analyst John Steinmetz looks to races 8 and 9 for his best plays, with a runner that hasn’t missed a placing in 6 starts and a nice each way shot.

 

 

Eagle Farm Race 8 #9 Abounding $3.40

This filly was well placed and looked a little awkward last start, getting beaten by 1 length as an odds on favourite.

She now lines up for this event which looks the perfect set-up to return to the winner's circle.

Robert Heathcoate has given her every opportunity in recent starts and she was very impressive two back, after securing a narrow victory over up-and-coming three year old Addriel from the Annabel Neasham stable.

She loves this distance and will prove hard to catch if she can settle on the speed.

I’ll be taking her to win, with a small play on Cifrado as well. 

 

Eagle Farm Race 10 #1 Great House $11.00

A juicy each way prospect out of the Chris Waller yard.

Although it's been a while between drinks, he will appreciate the step up in distance and his final 400m from his run three starts ago is a good form line to follow.

Expect to settle just off the speed and come home late with Ryan Maloney on board , who has a 26% win rate with Waller.

Given this gelding is getting on in his career, these starts tend to be make or break and I think Waller and Maloney both know that, so he’ll be ready to fire.

I’ll be taking him each way, and also having a play on #2 Dune Forty Five.
