Race 8 #6 Threatening $3.50

Getting out to 1500m and beyond could really make this 3YO gelding out of Shamus Award.

This Joe Pride trained runner is set to peak here third up in a largely unexposed field.

He draws well in barrier 6 to land in the moving line and the booking of Keegan Latham adds confidence.

His breeding suggests he will be even better with the cut out of the ground and he can use this race to start his Autumn assault.

Looks well placed off a strong last start effort.

 

Ballina Best Bet Tip from Luke Hovhanesian

Race 8 #13 Touch Of Gracie $4.80

A recent addition to the Corey and Kylie Geran stable, this former Victorian looks well suited in country grade.

He was great at Eagle Farm last start, running on to finish just outside the placings in a strong Class 1.

He now drops in grade, draws well in barrier 5 and lands Michael Cahill in the saddle.

He should land in a forward position and get every chance to break through for the new stable.
