Race 5 #12 Yirrkala $10.00
All the signs point to a big performance first up for this 4YO mare.
She had a great last preparation including a win and second at this course.
She resumes here off no public trials but the Brent Cavanough stable will have her forward enough to put in a strong performance.
She gets a weight advantage against her rivals and from barrier 5 can land a great position in running.
Braith Nock takes the reins and is in brilliant form.
A great each-way play.
Race 6 #1 Diamond Drummer $16.00
It is worth putting a pen straight through the last start performance of this 5YO gelding.
He was caught wide and on speed for the entire 1800m distance at Hawkesbury from a wide barrier.
He faded in the straight but can be totally forgiven.
Two starts back he put in a great run from back in the field to finish 3rd. Adding merit to that performance was the fact he was in the worst ground on the day.
He draws much better here in barrier 3 and gets the services of Aaron Bullock who has a great record on him.
His formlines from previous campaigns read really well for a race of this nature and if he brings his A-game there is no reason he shouldn't be in the finish at a big price.
Race 7 #14 More Szyslak $14.00
A month freshen up and a jockey change can hopefully return this 4YO gelding back to his best.
He was a bit dour at his last start effort at this track, but he was stepping up to 1400m for the first time on a soft surface.
He now returns to the 1100m sprint, on a good surface and finds an event with a great race shape.
He can settle towards the rear and let rip down the centre of the course.
Looks well placed for a big performance.
