We return to Sandown for a belter of a Wednesday meeting, with plenty of talented horses looking to make their mark.

Cody Lane ranks as one of Australia's best Sandown form experts and he has lined up a play that looks a big price.

It was a solid run last start when first-up at Cranbourne, hitting the line to finish 4th behind 'The Negotiator' over 1400m.

The form out of that race has been quite solid with multiple subsequent placegetters and a winner.

He comes into this second-up, where he has a win and a placing from two second-up runs, and the rise in distance to the 1800m is perfect.

This 4yo Savabeel gelding also gets a drop in weight from last start, going from 62kg down to 59kg here.

He will appreciate the long and spacious Sandown Hillside straight and will settle closer to the pace from the good draw of barrier 3.

It will be hard to stop him from storming over the top of them.
