There are 9 Happy Valley races with all of them being Class 3, 4 or 5.

The widest “A” Course will be in use and there shouldn't be much bias giving all horses their chance to win.

Happy Valley Race 5 #5 Raging Blizzard $2.00

As a 4YO trained by John Size, Raging Blizzard is unexposed and still improving from his 6 starts, with 2 wins and 2 placings.

This Per Incanto gelding raced at Happy Valley in mid January without having any barrier trials here.

He was beaten by the in-form Watch Buddy, then that runner won again on the next start.

Last time out this horse jumped from a wide draw, and got caught wide throughout.

He can be forgiven for that.

It is just a field of 9 tonight and he can bounce back hard.

Raging Blizzard will break from gate 3, which is ideal to take up the running and gives him a great chance for him to score his first Happy Valley victory.

 

Happy Valley Race 8 #8 Denfield $4.50

Denfield won over 1200m at Happy Valley earlier this season carrying the top weight, making all to win under Zac Purton.

He could not win again in Class 3, but his recent form shows he is getting back to his best.

After putting on the cheekpieces recently, his gate speed has been enhanced.

You could see the improvement when he was just beaten by 0.75L last time out over his favourite course.

Denfield ran 4th behind A Americ Te Specso (who was ridden by Zac Purton) last start and it is interesting that Zac will ride Denfield instead of the last time winner tonight.

So Denfield can turn the tables this time.
